portable barrier

bollard
The architectural design of the NMSB VI hydraulic security bollards achieves desired environmental and aesthetic enhancements to help create a secure perimeter, without providing a sense of social disorder and alarming of security measures. Built to last, these bollards are constructed with the most superior quality steel in the industry. In addition, we are the only barrier firm where the standard features include hot-dip galvanizing, additionally extending the durability of the barrier system for at least 15 years. Access-controlled, NMSB VI bollard, multi-function solutions stop unwarranted vehicle-access and enable bi-directional, perimeter and access control security either as a stand-alone system or integrated with the most advanced of blast resistant products and access-control technologies.

We offer two unique types of automated-hydraulic barrier systems:

Traditional bollard barrier systems: where a set of bollards are operated simultaneously by one hydraulic power unit (hpu), and

Self-contained bollard systems: incorporates a single gallon hpu unit with each individual bollard creating a self-contained, self-operating bollard barrier system.

High Threat - Highest Crash Rated and Certified Active Bollards Available:

  • DoS Certified to stop a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 50 mph
  • Self-contained hydraulic system, allowing individual or group control
  • Conventional hydraulic system also available with E-up and accumulator power-out operation
  • Flush retracted design
  • Hot-dip galvanized

Models Available:

Models VI, VI-SC, VI-M & VI-F

bollard foundationThe NMSB VI-SC is a self-contained bollard system, incorporating a single gallon hpu unit with each individual bollard creating a self-contained, self-operating bollard system. Multiple bollard installations become non-reliant on any single hydraulic operating unit. These self-contained bollards remain independently engaged during periods of individual hydraulic failure, continuing effective operation of these self-contained bollards not affected by hpu down time. This permits perimeter security to remain intact and access-control an option. Multiple units may be configured to operate independently or as a set barrier system.

The NMSB VI-M is a manually operated bollard system with key lock.

The NMSB VI-F is a fixed bollard system and offers secure perimeter protection when vehicle access is not required. Often installed as part of a complete system integration with hydraulic or manual vehicle access control barrier systems.

Applications:

  • Areas with an intermediate or high terrorist threat level
  • Areas with high volumes of pedestrian traffic, allowing easy passage
  • Areas where a more attractive, visible deterrent is desired
  • Areas where site excavation for the required installation is not prohibitive

Options:

The following options are added to enhance the performance and operation:

  • Master control panel
  • Remote control panel
  • Heating and/or cooling equipment for the hydraulic and/or electrical systems
  • Traffic lights
  • Remote indicator lights
  • Low Fluid Level sensor
  • Vehicle loop detector to indicate presence or direction of vehicular traffic
  • E-up system (approximately 1 second emergency raise time)
  • Deicing mechanism
  • Custom colors
