Mobile/Portable Vehicle Barriers are praised for their speed of installation and mobility. Mobile/portable barriers can be deployed in minutes for quick response to specific terrorist threats or increased general threat levels. With a swift set-up time, portable vehicle barriers are not set in concrete, but they allow secure perimeters to be created quickly when security issues require a larger area of safety around a facility. Drop Arm/Crash Beams are intended for intermediate to high-threat security facilities with minimal vehicle traffic and access control scenarios. Ross produces the only K-12 rated crash beams on the market. They rise to allow vehicles to enter, with a deployment time of 8-15 seconds per cycle depending on varying barrier size. Crash Beams are ideally suited for harsh environments as the beam is typically above the level of snow buildup. This beam is fully counterbalanced and can therefore be manually operated in the event of a power loss or deployment in an area without electricity. A heavy, hot-dip-galvanized finish ensures that these beams will last a lifetime without being destroyed by corrosion.
