The NMSB VIII is a bolt-down, single-buttress, surface mounted barrier and high security vehicle control barricade for intermediate to low threat security facilities. The NMSB VIII is engineer certified to stop a 10,000-pound vehicle traveling at 40 mph. The average barrier opening is 10' (3.05 meters). In the up position the top of the barrier is 24" to 28" (60.96 cm to 71.12 cm) above the road surface. Other widths are available, including custom sizes and configurations for bi-directional roads. Traffic Lights, Gatearms and other blast resistant structures may be integrated within existing buttress(es). This barrier can be operated manually without the aid of hydraulics or electric motors to provide the best in access control security.

Medium to Low Threat - Bolt Down Barrier:

  • Certified to 534,400 foot-pounds-force (10,000 pounds at 40 mph)
  • Pad mounted barrier that bolts down to an existing roadway or to an 8-inch thick concrete pad
  • Single or double housing
  • Ideal for Single or Dual-lane roadways
  • Single barrier width from 10 to 24 feet
