Mobile Barriers

The NMSB XV is a mobile surface-mounted barrier used for high threat security areas requiring temporary protection. The NMSB XV can be towed behind a standard pickup truck and deployed in under 20 minutes. This barrier is certified by the Department of State to stop a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 30 mph. The average barrier opening is 12' (3.66 meters). In the up position the top of the barrier is 31" (78.7 cm) above the road surface. The barrier is normally operated hydraulically, though manual operation is an option. This barrier does not mark or damage the roadway.
